Government Building in Nusantara, the new capital of Indonesia

Located in the core area of ??the central government in Nusantara/IKN, the new capital of East Kalimantan Province, Indonesia, it is Indonesia's new national administrative center and is mainly composed of two main buildings:

National Palace (Istana Negara)

Function: Presidential residence, National Ceremony and Reception Center

Design: Designed by the famous Indonesian artist Nyoman Nuarta, the shape combines Indonesian traditional architecture and **Garuda** elements to symbolize national sovereignty.

Progress: Construction to begin in 2022 and completed in 2024.

Istana Garuda

Function: Presidential Office Building, Cabinet Conference Center

Features: The modern glass curtain wall building with the appearance of an eagle spreading its wings is the landmark of Nusantara. The name will be officially announced in July 2024, and the first cabinet meeting will be held in August.

Supporting

Surrounded by the office buildings of various ministries, the Parliament Building, the judiciary, etc., it forms a complete political center.

The overall design emphasizes green, smart and sustainable concepts.
